Birth defect.

So, I was watching Trading Spouses, and some totally and completely fucked up bitch on the show said that being gay was a birth defect. WHAT THE HELL!? Your sexuality is just your preference and you can't help who you fall for.
And just adding to my disgust. My FOURTEEN year old brother agreed with the biarche. It took all my strength not to slap him. After I argued the fact that he was totally and completely wrong he finally agreed.
How can people have such strange views about the world?
